“After University I was a sabbatical officer at the University of Plymouth Students’ Union for two years as well as Chair of the Licensed Trade Committee for NUS Services for one year. I was then recruited to work for 6 months with NUS Services on new online technology developments and have been asked to present and speak several times at both AMSU Conference and SUM Conference on ‘The Virtual Student’. Since then I have consulted with students’ unions, Universities, and student related companies like Endsleigh Insurance on web 2.0 technology and its relevancy to the student market.
I have always followed the developments of new technology closely and I am adamant it has great relevancy to the student market. Through talks, presentations and consultations with students’ unions and student related companies I want to help radicalise the way in which organisations embrace web 2.0 technology easily, simply and to the benefit of their whole organisation and more importantly their students.”
